University of Mary Waqshington seniors Katy Larson (McGaheysville, Va./Spotswood) and Ashton Mitchell (Prince George, Va./Prince George) have been named to the 2009 All-Capital Athletic Conference teams, as voted on by the league's coaches. Freshman guard Katie Wimmer (Vienna, Va./Madison) was selected as the league's Rookie of the Year.

Larson was named to the first team after averaging 10.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, while leading the Eagles with 101 assists. Mitchell, a second team selection, scores 10.9 PPG and grabs 6.8 rebounds per contest, and leads the team with 37 blocked shots.

Wimmer has started 19 games for the Eagles, averaging 10.9 PPG, tied with Mitchell for the team lead. She averages 5.6 rebounds per game and leads the team with 51 steals.

The Eagles (23-5) will take on Stevens Institute of Technology in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. on the campus of New York University.
